Thursday evenings

So yesterday I was in college and as we always end up doing myself and some of my class mates relaxed in the canteen for a couple of hours, you know doing absolutely nothing.

After a couple of hours we decided to head to the cinema, random as I was heading towards my luas (is a tram that runs through our city center(Dublin) for anyone outside Ireland). So off we walked to the cinema and decided to go to see, ''Shutter Island'', featuring the very nice Leonardo DiCaprio and also a quite handsome Mark Ruffalo.

Firstly let me say myself and the girl I was with wonted to go to see bounty hunter or I love chuck Morris, you know a light funny Rom Com, easy on the mind and heart where as the ONE guy who was with us suggested we go to see 'Shutter Island' and somehow he won..

Directed by the wonderful Martin Scorese, who has also directed ''Gangs of New York'' and ''Goodfellas''.

The Film itself is capturing, with a great twist that you don't expect. Both lead actors provide some eye candy for the girls which is also welcomed whist sitting in a cinema.

If your looking for a film that keeps you watching, gives you a few jumps,(yes myself and my friend did hide under our jumper just in case).

Leonardo DiCaprio's acting is INCREDIBLE in this film!!!

I'd give ''Shutter Island'' a 8 out of 10.

REVIEW TIME

For Christmas (YES CHRISTMAS) I received MAC's Blush Powder in the colour harmony having originally wonted Blunt.

Harmony is a gorgeous brown with red undertone blush colour PERFECT for contouring on light to medium skin tones.

I wear it EVERYDAY as my contour but also brush it lightly over my chest and neck.

It is a matte finish so again is the perfect contour colour.

DEFINITELY my holy grail contour colour and bronzer and a DEFINITE recommendation for anyone on the look out for a new one who would be (I image) from a nc/nw10-nc/nw20 or 25...

Does anyone love it or hate it??

HELLO!!!!!

Wow it's been a SERIOUSLY long time since I typed to this little piece of magic, so hears a likkle update on my life and everything thats happening...

I'm currently, as you all know, studying Journalism year one is just about to come to an end (only 4 weeks left :) ) then four exams and lots of praying that I pass because well it would be pretty dam horrific if I failed and had to repeat, talk about ruining a summer.

In my degree I study many different modules, Media law (one of my favorites),politics, ethics, media culture, features (how to write a feature), News reporting(how to report news story's, which after starting to really examine papers over the past few months you wonder if some papers have any idea what a NEWS story is), journalism in the field(where basically we attend events that interest the media, for exam murder trails, government meetings, press conferences etc), shorthand (AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA) and many many many more different modules. Some I must admit I really enjoy, for exam news reporting, journalism in the field and Law but then theres the wonders of shorthand which at this point I never think I will get....EVER!!!!

I'm back working in new look where I have been working on and off for 3 years. Why do I return after leaving so many times? I love the people there! I have to say there a great group of staff, all THREE of the guys are gems and the girls are angels so altogether its a get atmosphere and its great to get a first glance at the newest trends YAY but not so yay on my bank balance, speaking of balance its pay day next week and MAJOR shopping is in order!!:):):):)

I'm as addicted to make-up as ever and actually more. I've organised my make up in a completely new way which I love and will show on here if you guys wont....

I'm back song writing and poetry writing something very few people actually know I do but well Know its out there... I manly focus on poetry.

Thats my update really I think, mmmmmmm...I've a few more ill post today and I really hope to get back into the swing of this because I really have missed it and its such a wonderful break from journalism type writing.....

AMAZING NEWS

okay okay do any of you rememer be writing about been accepted to a certain college back in december and how I was incredably excited about the entire prospect etc. How this college was the best in ireland for journalism....WELL! I applied for there scholarship, not having a single inch of believe in myself but without this scholarship I could not afford the 18thousand euro fees for the 3year course, plus commute money , it just was'nt feasable...

My birthday was on tuesday and was a lovely day I saw my best friend looking incredable as she went to her debs. Seriously I actually shed a tear because she looked so amazing! Keara Dont ever get married it could kill me haha....
On the Wednesday I was sitting on the Bus heading into town, it was cold and extremely wet out, was'nt feeling the greatest, was tired etc... Anyhow as the bus took of from my stop I day dreamed out the window when I heard
'' boom boom pow'' singing to me, i strugged to find my phone, and once I had reached it I noticed a dublin number was calling me, a number I did'nt recongnise..I've a strange thing about answering unknown numbers or numbers I don't recognise, but for some reason I decided I needed to answer this call.

''Hello there Becky?''
''Yes?''
''Hi there its Niamh calling here from independent colleges''

At this point I could feel my heart race to a beat I had never experienced before, not even on a saturday night.

Niamhs voice was calm, and for some reason I felt this was it, dreams shattered you have'nt got it. I started to instintly prepare what would be appropriate to say once she had told me that I had'nt been choosen for there scholarship (they give one out a year).

Our conversation continued and she begain to tell me about how they had,had there scholarship meeting that morning etc..
ANYWAY I suppose at this point I shoulf hurry this woffle up slighty..........

''Becky I delighted to inform you that you have been selected to offer the scholarship to this year''

''WHAT?? OH MY GOD''

''haha yes becky, unfortunantly you did'nt actually make one of our requirements entirely to do out higher bachelors degree in journalism, but you where incredably close, And for this reason we would love to offer you the scholarship to cover this course''

'OMG OMG OMG OMG'' my mind goes slighty blank at this point, and I do remember alot of people looking at me very strangely.

To sum this shocking news up for you, I have been offered a 22,000 euro scholarship to Independent college, that covers me for my entire 3year degree!!!

I'M STILL IN COMPLETE SHOCK AND DISBELIEVE!!
