Whats been going on

Hey lovelies ;)

I haven't posted in quite a few days, BOOO but l have an excuse I swear. When I wrote my last post I was sick, server tummy ache and vomiting and i presumed I had caught the 24hour bug that was going around so closed the curtains, pulled up the duvet and watched rubbish day time telly complete bliss if I hadn't been feeling quite as bad. During the night at about half 1 I jumped out of the bed in agony screaming with the pain, my wonderful mother ran in and within an hour I was in our local emergency doctor that opens when the GP closes, I was there for about 40mins with the doctor watching my every move, had two injections and was sent to the hospital emergency department.

ANYWAY, the PAIN was incredible and the hospital well it was an absolute joke! I waited two and a half hours in the waiting area, crying with pain I couldn't stay sitting cause it hurt, I couldn't stay standing cause it hurt and I was vomiting. Once I made it through to the a&e area so to speak it was EMPTY, there was one lady with a broken leg on a trolley in the corridor while every cubicle besides one was empty, why couldn't they give that women some privacy while she waited to be transfered to another hospital for surgery?? I was seen and told to wait on a chair for my bloods to come back, no pain relief nothing and the doctor, well he wasn't aware of being polite! The nurses (I'm only specking of those nurses working that night of course there are wonderful doctors and nurses out there) sat chatting!

After a while I told told I could have a bed because they could see the pain I was in, luckily as I ended up waiting in casualty for 12 hours! To cut a long story short I was seen by a surgeon and admitting to hospital where I stayed for a week, had an ultra sound and a scope(HORRIFIC!!! The anesthetic didn't work and I remember the whole experience and aaaaaaa.

I have suspected gallstones, but they couldn't see them in any of my tests except my spleen is very very enlarged yet I still have the symptoms of gallstones. :(

I'm home a few days but am still lying on the couch, Not able to eat but thankfully I am back drinking. I'm on a lot of tablets to ease the pain, which is bizarre to me because they don't know what there treating!

On top of that my granddad Jim passed away last week (he was my real granddads brother, that stepped in to act as a granddad when he passed away). I was unable to attend the funeral as the hospital wouldn't let me out which was very sad but I know he with me and listening to my prayers. I'll miss him very much, he was an incredible man who lived the most fulfilled life, I'll miss his stories, his singing, him falling asleep during the ads of his favorite show, the smile he always had when he saw hiss wife, his grand kids. Sham (as I always called him) I love you very much and know you are ALWAYS around, singing, laughing and your watching. I feel soooo blessed to have been given the chance to be his 'step' granddaughter with my brother and sister.

Rest In Piece

Sad sad news. RIP Gerry Ryan

Hey there,
Today isn't such a nice day, as you guys know I've dream't of working in Radio for as long as I can remember. My biggest inspiration passed away this today, Gerry Ryan.

Gerry Ryan was a hero in Irish Media, possibly the most charming, intelligent most incredible man on radio. He had television shows but his radio show was huge! Without it our main radio station here in Ireland may of never lasted.

Any non-Irish readers of my blog may find this difficult but Ireland is TINY! I go to college in out capital, Dublin and although I live an hour away (which is not near our capital) I see someone from where I am from every day in Dublin. We have quite a few radio shows but it RTE1 and RTE2fm are the most listened to.

I'm a rte 2fm listener as it's one of those stations that covers everything, I listen to Colm and Jim every morning and once on the train the wonderful Gerry Ryan would come on, I've often started laughing to myself, cried and even argued (in my head of course) with Gerry Ryan but no matter how much you disagree with whatever he was saying he had such a charm about him that you still loved him.

Gerry Ryan who was 53 years young worked in Radio since 1974 and started working on 'The Gerry Ryan' show in 1988 until the 29th of April, yesterday as he did not go into work today.

Gerry Ryan was not just my inspiration but one to many. He is a friend of everyones, it feels although we are losing a friend, grew up listening to him EVERYMORING, every Christmas he would contact Santa and report back.

My thoughts are with his five children far to young to lose there daddy. The staff at rte and anyone that knows him, it can't be easy, and as a listener and a fan I'll miss you
Rest In peace Gerry Ryan

I heart

Show pony shadow box

So in December (I wont saw the C word) I received the show pony palette by Urban Decay which looks like this.....

Another post??? golly I'm doing well at the min...

In this palette you get.....Snatch a glittery peachy/pink and Painkiller a turquoise shimmer which are exclusives to this set you also get Mildrew a dark army shimmery green,Smog a gold brown, toasted a pink undertone brown, flash a shimmery bright purple. It also includes a travel size 24/7 Eye Pencil in Zero(black), which is ALSO my favorite eyeliner EVER, and a mini bottle of eyeshadow primer potion and a big mirror.

Each of these colours are gorgeous, I love Snatch but the fallout is CRAZY. When the website says its glittery they mean its glittery. When I use this colour I end up with glitter chunks on my cheek bone so I have found using snatch with a damp flat shader brush works the best.

The box is gorgeous. It was designed by Kime Buzzelli, an artist fashion designer and the owner of the Echo Park clothing boutique.

The websites describes this palette as
''Artsy Hipsters and makeup junkies rejoice! Urban Decay chose Kime Buzzelli, darling of the LA art scene, to illustrate this amazing Shadow Box inside and outKime’s paintings feature wickedly fashionable women… often with brightly colored makeup running down their cheeks''

I do like this palette and my friend Keara(featured in a past post) adores the colour flash, I use snatch most days and have used painkiller on the lower lash line for a POP....(heehee I love saying that) of course both the brown shades are always going to be wearable and used and loved dearly
Have any of you tried this ''shadow box'' before? Do you like it??

I need your help

Hey guys,
I need your help please....

I'm currently writing an article for my college paper about journalists, online, print and radio receiving freebies from companies IE make-up, tan-holidays, drink, etc and I REALLY need some opinions from both side of the story..

This article may never be printed and you can remain anonymous if you wish to do so.
SO please please please help me out...If you would rather not post what u have to say on here you can email me, at and express yourself there. As i said you can remain anonymous and if there's any company's reading I'd love to hear your side to...

THANK YOU:) P.S Iv to have this finished by Monday :(

Thursday evenings

So yesterday I was in college and as we always end up doing myself and some of my class mates relaxed in the canteen for a couple of hours, you know doing absolutely nothing.

After a couple of hours we decided to head to the cinema, random as I was heading towards my luas (is a tram that runs through our city center(Dublin) for anyone outside Ireland). So off we walked to the cinema and decided to go to see, ''Shutter Island'', featuring the very nice Leonardo DiCaprio and also a quite handsome Mark Ruffalo.

(This image was taken from google Images)
Firstly let me say myself and the girl I was with wonted to go to see bounty hunter or I love chuck Morris, you know a light funny Rom Com, easy on the mind and heart where as the ONE guy who was with us suggested we go to see 'Shutter Island' and somehow he won..

Directed by the wonderful Martin Scorese, who has also directed ''Gangs of New York'' and ''Goodfellas''.

The Film itself is capturing, with a great twist that you don't expect. Both lead actors provide some eye candy for the girls which is also welcomed whist sitting in a cinema.

If your looking for a film that keeps you watching, gives you a few jumps,(yes myself and my friend did hide under our jumper just in case).

Leonardo DiCaprio's acting is INCREDIBLE in this film!!!

I'd give ''Shutter Island'' a 8 out of 10.

PS. I know these latest posts are not beauty related but I taught I'd vary this blog up a bit focusing manly on make-up OF COURSE. :P

Review time

( I took this image from google images as I have no camera AGAIN)

For Christmas (YES CHRISTMAS) I received MAC's Blush Powder in the colour harmony having originally wonted Blunt.
Harmony is a gorgeous brown with red undertone blush colour PERFECT for contouring on light to medium skin tones.
I wear it EVERYDAY as my contour but also brush it lightly over my chest and neck.
It is a matte finish so again is the perfect contour colour.
DEFINITELY my holy grail contour colour and bronzer and a DEFINITE recommendation for anyone on the look out for a new one who would be (I image) from a nc/nw10-nc/nw20 or 25...

Does anyone love it or hate it??

YAY to the newies

WOW I just noticed my increase in followers!! yay!!!
The moment I shut up you guys start following heehee I love it!!

Well thank you guys VERY VERY VERY much PLEASE comment me , I'd love to learn more about you and read your wonderful blogs..

I taught I'd add in some lyrics to a song I'm really enjoying at the min manly because of the lyrics and there meaning....... You can really relate to them I think...

Who are we to be emotional
Who are we to play with hearts
And throw away it all
Who are we to turn each others heads
Who are we to find ourselves in other people's beds
I don't like the way I never listen to myself
I feel like I'm on fire, I'm too shy to cry for help

I don't think you know me much at all

This love is be and end all
This love will be your downfall
I'm feeling down about this love

Who are you to make me feel so good
Who are we to tell ourselves that we're misunderstood
Oh who am I to say I'm always yours
Who am I to choose the boy that everyone adores
I don't see a reason why we can't just be apart
Now we're falling on each other like we're always in the dark

I don't think you warned me much at all

This love is be and end all
This love will be your downfall

This love is not what you want
This heart will never be yours
This love is be and end all
This love will be your downfall

This love is be and end all
This love will be your downfall

Well would you look who it is??

Wow it's been a SERIOUSLY long time since I typed to this little piece of magic, so hears a likkle update on my life and everything thats happening...

I'm currently, as you all know, studying Journalism year one is just about to come to an end (only 4 weeks left :) ) then four exams and lots of praying that I pass because well it would be pretty dam horrific if I failed and had to repeat, talk about ruining a summer.

In my degree I study many different modules, Media law (one of my favorites),politics, ethics, media culture, features (how to write a feature), News reporting(how to report news story's, which after starting to really examine papers over the past few months you wonder if some papers have any idea what a NEWS story is), journalism in the field(where basically we attend events that interest the media, for exam murder trails, government meetings, press conferences etc), shorthand (AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA) and many many many more different modules. Some I must admit I really enjoy, for exam news reporting, journalism in the field and Law but then theres the wonders of shorthand which at this point I never think I will get....EVER!!!!

I'm back working in new look where I have been working on and off for 3 years. Why do I return after leaving so many times? I love the people there! I have to say there a great group of staff, all THREE of the guys are gems and the girls are angels so altogether its a get atmosphere and its great to get a first glance at the newest trends YAY but not so yay on my bank balance, speaking of balance its pay day next week and MAJOR shopping is in order!!:):):):)

I'm as addicted to make-up as ever and actually more. I've organised my make up in a completely new way which I love and will show on here if you guys wont....

I'm back song writing and poetry writing something very few people actually know I do but well Know its out there... I manly focus on poetry.

Thats my update really I think, mmmmmmm...I've a few more ill post today and I really hope to get back into the swing of this because I really have missed it and its such a wonderful break from journalism type writing.....

HEARTS my loves
